Kristine is a Level II EAGALA certified co-founder of Horse Play, a licensed social worker, and a member of the Association for Experiential Education. Kristine's experience includes over fourteen years assisting educational institutions and non-profit businesses in transition through program development, strategic planning, and board restructuring. Her career includes serving as a child development specialist and school social worker, working as Executive Director of a provisional services agency, and teaching social work curriculum at the university level. Kristine is also a life-long equestrian from a family of Quarter Horse breeders and cattle ranchers. Being with horses and playing in nature with her three children continually teaches her the value of being authentic and living in the present.
Anne is a Level II EAGALA certified co-founder of Horse Play, a licensed psychologist, and a member of the Association for Experiential Education. As an entrepreneur who successfully developed psychology practices in Chicago and Phoenix, Anne and her husband returned to her hometown in Southwestern Michigan to raise their young children near family. Anne recalls a childhood spent playing in the woods and at the lake and wanting to provide the same for her young children. After working in an office environment for 15 years, she is following her children's lead and taking her career "back to nature," bringing her passion for the environment and having fun. Anne is excited to develop yet another business venture utilizing her skills as a psychologist to facilitate change in her clients and translate that to the corporate world and the community.
Dean brings extensive experience in organizational transformation, partnership formation, training, policy development, charitable endowments, and group facilitation. A life-long horse-lover, he has enjoyed training all sizes, from miniatures to giant draft horses, and loves reading and analyzing the equine personality. He brings coaching and consulting skills and loves to pose questions that engage individuals and groups in deep listening, and then helping them paraphrase and summarize what they are saying. His synthesis gifts make him a valuable part of our facilitation team.
Danea draws on her background in psychology and education to help strengthen children and families. She is the author of Adopted Teens Only and has developed numerous curricula and resources for assisting children and families with the unique challenges of autism. Danea currently teaches students with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and emotional disorders in Bridgman, Michigan. In her free time, Danea enjoys the outdoors, especially horseback riding.
Danielle has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and is a certified Level II EAGALA equine specialist and NAHRA riding instructor. As an experienced riding instructor and horse trainer, Danielle spent five years in Texas teaching riding to students from 3 to 70 years of age and training horses before returning to her Michigan hometown in 2007. In addition to her facilitation work at Horse Play, she continues sharing her expertise coaching students in Western, English, Trail, Hunter/Jumper, showmanship, and dressage.
